General Secretary

Suzana Hoxha

Ms. Suzana Hoxha is a lawyer with extensive experience in Albanian public administration, with over 20 years of contribution to central institutions and the protection of state interests.

She serves as the General Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, where she directs and coordinates the activities of the administrative and technical structures of the ministry, ensuring the implementation of government policies in the field of economic development, innovation, vocational education and employment, as well as public property management. In this role, Ms. Hoxha leads the processes of institutional reforms, financial management and improving public governance.

Previously, she served as Secretary General at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and held leadership positions at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, including the positions of Director General of Public Property and Director of Borrowing in the Internal Market. In her career, Ms. Hoxha has contributed in leadership roles at the State Attorney’s Office and earlier at the General Directorate of Prisons, the Construction Police and the Tirana Appeals Prosecution Office, building a profile based on integrity, professionalism and institutional efficiency.

She is a lawyer graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana, and has completed her Master’s degree in International Law. She has a number of professional trainings in the field of public administration, independent constitutional institutions, public procurement and legal management. She has been a licensed lawyer since 2007 and is fluent in English and Italian.

Her work is characterized by her commitment to reform, transparency and strengthening of public institutions in the service of citizens and the sustainable development of the country.
