Ministry of Economy and Innovation

Enkelejd Musabelliu, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation since October 2024, is a political economist with extensive experience in the fields of economic development, strategic planning and social policies.

He has built a consolidated career in the public sector, both in central and local government institutions, and has served as a member of the Supervisory Council in several public institutions. His expertise includes the design and implementation of development policies, institutional management and strengthening local capacities.
During the period 2018–2024, Musabelliu has been engaged as a consultant for a number of international organizations and public institutions, with a particular focus on strategic planning and local government development. In parallel, he has also provided consultancy to the private sector, contributing to feasibility studies and investment projects in the energy, tourism and infrastructure sectors.

In the period 2015–2018, he served at the Municipality of Tirana as the General Director of Economic Development, where he was responsible for local and rural economic development, strategic planning, management of public enterprises, and the establishment of the local economic statistics system.
Previously, during the years 2013–2015, he held the position of Advisor to the Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, being mainly engaged in the 2014 pension reform, one of the most important structural reforms of that period.

Enkelejd Musabelliu graduated in Philosophy from the University of Tirana and in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom. He is fluent in Albanian, English, and Italian.
