Ms. Iris Ago previously held the position of Director at the Large Taxpayers Directorate (August 2020- November 2021); headed the Tax Control Directorate at the General Directorate of Taxes (February 2017- July 2020); has held the position of Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Economy since December 2021; Director General of the General Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering, Director General of the National Business Center from 2022 to January 2025, has held the position of Director of the Cabinet at the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate and is currently Director of the Cabinet at the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, Finance-Accounting department, and continued his Master of Science studies during the years 2010-2013, at the European University of Tirana, and holds the title of MSc in Banking and Insurance. He has been trained on National and International Accounting Standards (NAS & IFRS), Leadership Challenges in Albania organized by George Washington University. He speaks English and Italian.
