Violeta Shqalsi-Cara

Violeta Shqalsi-Cara is an expert in institutional communication and media with over 25 years of professional experience in public administration and journalism.
Currently, since November 2025, she has been serving as the Advisor for Communication and Media at the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, following previous engagements as Advisor for Communication and Media in important central institutions of the Albanian state, including the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the General Directorate of Customs.

During her institutional career, she has contributed to the design and implementation of public communication strategies, management of media relations, public information and inter-institutional coordination, especially in the sectors of economy, finance, agriculture and customs.
With a solid background in economic and political journalism, Violeta Shqalsi-Cara has held important editorial and reporting positions in national media outlets such as ATSH, TV SCAN and Radio “STINËT” for almost two decades, contributing to the growth of professional standards in public reporting.

She is certified by the Delegation of the European Union as a Trainer for European Integration in Communication and has attended specialized training in institutional communication, finance, taxation and the customs system, including training at the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels, the French News Agency, AFP, and the Albanian Media Institute. She has also been a member of the European Union Screening Group for 13 chapters, at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Ms. Shqalsi-Cara has participated in important national and international conferences as an economic journalist, providing professional reporting in the media outlets where she has worked.
