Ministry of Economy and Innovation

Dr. Olta Manjani has been Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation since November 2025. Previously, Ms. Manjani served as Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (December 2021 – March 2024), as well as Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation (March – November 2025).

Dr. Manjani comes from a long working experience as an economist at the Bank of Albania (2008-2021), in the Monetary Policy Department. She has also developed her career in the pedagogical field, as an assistant lecturer at the Tor Vergata University of Rome (2020-2021), external lecturer at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Economics (2006-2007); “visiting researcher” at the Graduate Institute Geneva in Switzerland (2014-2015), etc.

Dr. Manjani completed her PhD in Banking and Finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2018-2021). She completed her postgraduate studies at Williams College, Massachusetts, USA, as a Fulbright Scholar with a Master’s Degree in Economic Policies of Developing Countries. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the American University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in Business Administration, with a minor in International Relations (2002-2006).

Dr. Manjani holds several qualifications in the field of finance and economics from institutions such as the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Bundesbank, Germany; IMF Institute, Washington DC; Joint Vienna Institute, Austria, etc.

Dr. Manjani is the author of a number of studies and scientific articles in the field of finance and banking, published in renowned peer-reviewed journals. She is fluent in English and Italian, and is also familiar with Greek, Turkish and French.
